Carers Week 2017

08 June 2017

Carers Week is running from the 12th to the 18th of June, and is an annual awareness campaign to celebrate and recognise the vital contribution made by the UK’s 6.5 million carers. It also highlights organisations and agencies which offer care and support to those affected by conditions and those around them.

This important awareness week makes clear to the public the challenges carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. The campaign is brought to life by thousands of individuals and organisations who come together to organise activities and events throughout the UK, drawing attention to just how important caring is.

RP Fighting Blindness supports Carers Week, and recognises the many carers in the inherited progressive sight loss community. As a charity which offers support services to anyone affected by inherited progressive sight loss, we understand that carers may have questions and require guidance and signposting.
